Bambi Rino Wilson

Fishwest Park City – Retail Store Manager

Bio:

Bambi Wilson grew up and spent her childhood on what is now the last vestige of significant open space in the greater Park City area—the famed Hi-Ute Ranch and surrounding landscape were her stomping grounds. Bambi claims that she could drive a tractor and ride a horse before she could walk. When not helping her family take care of the ranch, she was riding and showing horses locally, nationally, and abroad with the help and support of Jan Peterson (founder of JANS Mountain Outfitters).

Bambi loves to explore the vast Utah landscape with her family any chance she can either on horseback, on foot, or in the drift boat with a fly rod in her hand. On most days you can find Bambi at our retail storefront located on historic Park City’s Main Street.

Fishing Experience:

Like many of us, Bambi was introduced to fishing at a young age. However, it was not with a fly rod. Her introduction to fly fishing was a trial by fire in the early 2000s on Utah’s famed Green River. Since that first float, Bambi has amassed a plethora of fly-fishing experiences. Her resume includes swinging flies for steelhead in British Columbia, chasing permit and tarpon in the southern Yucatan, and pursuing the world-famous bonefish in the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. These days, Bambi is most content spending time on the water, most likely behind the oars of a drift boat with her beloved dog, husband, and son River.
