This stuff really is the most abrasion resistant tippet. I used to use chameleon line jetty fishing. Same thing here. I mostly use this stuff during the coho and konanee runs. Even though its dark in color it works great in all water conditions, even crystal clear. It is rather stiff so for larger flies and streamers.
Durable and dependable tippet

When I started out fly fishing, I actually purchased a leader kit of Chameleon from Maxima. I hand tied my leaders for trout fishing and it was the only leader and tippet material I used. It's good dependable stuff. Chameleon's a little on the stiff side, and I believe not necessarily the strongest of leader and tippet materials on the market today. But it's a great product that's stood up to competition through the years. It's abrasion resistance is top notch, and it's stiffness makes it ideal for butt sections of leaders or turning over big flies. These days, I use it for warmwater fishing more so than trout (I've been using Rio for trout since it's more supple and very strong), and for the butt sections on my trout leaders if I need some extra stiffness. It's great stuff and very reasonably priced as well. Also a good material to consider in your fly tying if you are creating weed guards on your flies.
