300 Grain Good
Bought this for my 5 weight spey and to use on my single hand, works awesome on the small spey going to try the single hand this week.fun line and easy to cast just takes a bit to get used to the length
Great for small streams!
I put a 175 grain Commando Head on my 4 weight TXL, which has a length a tad under 8 feet. It was a great combo for fishing a small stream that doesn't have much room for a backcast. My spey casting skills are rudimentary but I found I could shoot a ton of line when roll casting. It excelled at fishing streamers downstream on the swing but wasn't delicate enough for dries. The running line is too thin for mending anything, including nymphs.
It`s better to use by advanced casters (for the beginners it is better to use classic Line)
This 325 grain Commando Head was used on a 6 weight Loop Cross S1 Switch Rod. It`s better to use by advanced casters (for the beginners it is better to use classic Line). But anyway with this head it is easier to cast the large flies.
I put on my 8 weight. I stopped worrying about being behind me. No, pay attention to this, that while landing, due to the large weight of the head, fish draws attention to the splash from the cord, not flies. And that's not exactly what you want.
