Dr. Slick Spring Creek Clamp - 5in

As with most Dr. Slick products, this is a nice quality hemostat. It has some weight to it, which is good in the sense that it feels like a nice tool but lighter would be nicer for the pack or lanyard. The size is as expected, although the finger loops are much bigger than I expected. This would be a great feature for people with large hands. I specifically purchased these because of the smooth jaw instead of serrated. I thought it would be more gentle on the flies when grasping them. However, while the jaws aren't serrated, they aren't exactly smooth either. I was expecting completely smooth and they are a bit roughed up. Should have probably been ground and polished more. That's my only gripe with them. The price is a little high, but most Dr. Slick products are. The narrow jaws are nice for smaller flies though as advertised.
