Beautiful traditional reel

Gordy!

I actually use the 2/3 on a 7' 6" 3 wt. pack rod. I like the old school click ball drag. It came set perfectly from the factory. Its a sweet little trout/panfish reel.

Love this reel

Perfect little trout reel. Super light and strong. Really smooth and easy to palm. Nice retrieve and a nice big spool. Beautiful finish and a good price too. I have a 3 wt. Also on my creek rod. Galvan does a beautiful job with these.

Beautiful reel

I got a little orange one for my tiny 3 wt. Just a beautiful little reel that performs wonderfully. Super light and beautifully crafted. Replaced an Able TR-light. Nuff said.

Perfect small stream reel!

Dale Martens

I have the 3/4 version on a 7' 10" 4 weight TXL by Sage. It is super light weight and balances the rod perfectly. You have to remove the spool and adjust the drag with an Allen wrench (included) but that is really easy. (I wouldn't to do it in the middle of a stream though.) There is not a huge range of drag adjustment but it is perfectly adequate and can be dialled in to a setting appropriate for small streams and small trout. Given its weight, this reel has a large arbour and that is very convenient. For something machined, the spool does not seem to have the tightest tolerance as it sits on the spindle but it is far tighter than any cast reel. I can't comment on its durability yet; I think it will be fine, although it does not seem as robust as a lot of heavier reels.
