Meh.

Gordy!

I wanted to give this rod a chance. A mid priced rod from Sage... you don't really need to spend 700+ to get a great rod, do you? Apparently. The pulse is a nice looking rod. It claims to be a fast action but it seems pretty slow casting. Heavy swing weight, stiff tip. I found the rod most accurate at midrange, which was not very impressive, for get the short casts and it lost it at distance. Despite its stiff tip I found it inaccurate and kind of squirrley. If your looking for a mid-priced rod give it a chance, its a personal thing. I'm not sold on the rod, It does'nt match my style. You might like it though.

Good mid-priced rod from Sage. I have a 4wt 8'6* which is a good dry fly rod for high mountain streams.
