Lesley Smith

Lesley Smith hails from Southern California and is an accomplished backpacker with multiple thru-hikes of the John Muir Trail and 550 miles of Spain’s Camino de Santiago under her belt. With a love for nature and natural athleticism, it’s no surprise that fly fishing came naturally to Lesley. Now hooked on the rush of catching fish on the fly, Lesley has traveled with her husband, Dave Smith, all over the world catching everything from tarpon, bonefish, and barramundi to chaopraya catfish, mahseer, and mako shark. When she isn’t out on the water, Leslie works as a PE teacher, where over the course of 17 years, she’s taught at the high school, elementary, and now middle school level. She also enjoys designing and tying flies and being an ambassador for the sport.
